Pernas Appoints Nor Azam As New Chief Executive Officer

KUALA LUMPUR, April 14 (Bernama) -- Perbadanan Nasional Bhd (Pernas) has appointed Datuk Nor Azam M. Taib as its new chief executive officer (CEO) effective today.

In a statement, Pernas said Nor Azam's appointment marks the beginning of a new chapter for the company, with his extensive experience and expertise expected to strengthen Pernas' position and elevate its achievements.

Nor Azam brings with him over 26 years of experience in the banking and finance sector.

"He previously served at Malaysia Building Society Bhd, where he held several key positions, including chief business officer, deputy CEO, and CEO until June 2024," the statement said.

Pernas added that Nor Azam has also held roles in several prominent financial institutions, including Citibank, OCBC Bank, Arab Malaysia Bank, and Hong Leong Bank.
