Duck Creek Technologies Welcomes General Daniel Hokanson To Board

KUALA LUMPUR, April 16 (Bernama) -- Duck Creek Technologies, the global intelligent solutions provider defining the future of property and casualty (P&C) and general insurance, has announced the appointment of retired United States (US) Army General Daniel Hokanson to the company’s board of directors.

According to a statement, General Hokanson brings deep expertise and experience in leading organisations through the development and implementation of detailed strategic policy to Duck Creek’s board.

Duck Creek Technologies Chief Executive Officer, Michael Jackowski expressed enthusiasm about Hokanson’s appointment, highlighting his leadership in navigating complex challenges such as climate change and regulatory shifts.

Meanwhile, Hokanson said: "I am honoured to join Duck Creek Technologies' board of directors. The company's dedication to innovation and excellence in the insurance industry strongly aligns with my values and experience.

Hokanson, a retired four-star general, previously served as the 29th Chief of the National Guard Bureau and a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. In these roles, he was a military advisor to the President, Secretary of Defense, and National Security Council while managing critical communication between the Department of Defense and state-level military leadership.

During his tenure as National Guard Bureau Chief, Hokanson led responses to the COVID-19 pandemic, civil unrest, and natural disasters, all while fulfilling international military commitments.

A graduate of the US Military Academy at West Point with a degree in aerospace engineering, Hokanson also earned multiple advanced degrees from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California, and Harvard University.

His appointment was sourced through Vista Equity Partners’ external board programme, which identifies and trains qualified board candidates for Vista’s portfolio companies. Launched in 2017, the initiative works to create a pipeline of highly talented board candidates through programmes and partnerships that will drive results for the corporate world at large.
