From Zarul Effendi Razali

TEHRAN, April 30 (Bernama) -- The seventh Exhibition of Export Potential of Iran (Iran Expo 2025) is expected to play a crucial role in strengthening economic and trade ties between the Iranian business community and its foreign counterparts.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said at Monday’s opening ceremony that his country offers an excellent trade and investment platform for foreign businesses as well as an ideal holiday destination.

“Peace and security will be created with trade, investments, companionship and cooperation,” he said in his speech here on Monday.

More than 2,500 traders, economic directors and heads of chambers of commerce from over 100 countries participated in Iran Expo 2025, scheduled April 28-May 2, to showcase the Islamic republic’s export potential.

Pezeshkian said the country is hospitable with warm and friendly people, and welcomes foreign business people. It also respects (other) countries’ territorial integrity and rights.

“We declare our readiness for any scientific, economic, political, and social cooperation with countries around the world,” he said.

The President also urged international participants to join hands to promote peace, security, freedom, and humanity.

“This will bring about empathy and solidarity among us,” he said.

Iran Expo 2025 is the country’s largest trade event and provides participants with unparalleled opportunities to connect with global markets.

The event is a collaborative team effort between the Industry, Mine and Trade and the Foreign Affairs Ministries, with the Trade Development Organization of Iran and other governmental and private institutions.

Trade Development Organization’s Director General Mohammad Ali Dehghan Dehnavi said a fundamental objective of Iran Expo 2025 is to leverage influential players in foreign trade at the Export Capabilities Exhibition.

“The active presence of these players was evident throughout the various editions of this exhibition,” he said.

They have not only helped develop and expand Iranian exports but have played a significant role in strengthening international trade and introduced Iran's economic capacities to global markets, he said.

Their presence is an important step towards achieving Iran’s long-term trade goals and raising its share of global trade.
