FBM KLCI Futures Close Marginally Higher

KUALA LUMPUR, May 5 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed marginally higher despite the easier cash market performance.

May 2025 edged up by 1.5 points to 1,535.00, June 2025 rose 2.5 points to 1,534.00, September 2025 gained 1.0 point to 1,516.50, and December 2025 added 1.5 points to 1,527.50.

Turnover fell to 5,618 lots from 6,132 lots on Friday, while open interest slid to 38,851 contracts from 39,482 previously.

At 5 pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) declined by 0.19 per cent, or 2.95 points, to 1,539.54 from last Friday’s close of 1,542.49.
