Meltwater Unveils AI Teammate 'Mira' To Revolutionise Media Intelligence

KUALA LUMPUR, May 7 (Bernama) -- Meltwater, a global leader in media, social and consumer intelligence, has launched Mira, an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered assistant designed to simplify complex workflows and deliver real-time insights through an intuitive chat-based interface.

The launch marks the latest advancement in Meltwater’s AI product suite, combining AI agents with generative AI (GenAI) to streamline tasks such as news briefings, brand monitoring, and competitive intelligence.

In a statement, Meltwater said brands are increasingly challenged by the fast-evolving media landscape and the growing number of digital platforms that require monitoring.

“Mira is powered by Meltwater’s industry-leading dataset, which analyses over one billion conversations across news and social media daily.

“It provides users with context, insights and recommended actions within seconds, offering a strategic edge similar to that of a world-class analyst team,” said Meltwater Chief Technology Officer, Aditya Jami.

According to research by Gartner, marketing teams use an average of six tools to run campaigns, with 51 per cent of chief marketing officers (CMOs) reporting their technology stack as overly complex, while 59 per cent want to simplify it.

Mira aims to address this issue by reducing reliance on traditional tools and eliminating the need for advanced platform expertise.

In addition to Mira, the company also introduced Meltwater Copilot, a conversational AI assistant integrated with platforms such as Microsoft Teams and the Office Suite to support real-time decision-making in collaborative environments.

As part of its 2025 Mid-Year Release, Meltwater also unveiled Explore+, a new enterprise listening and analytics platform that offers unlimited searches, in-depth analytics, and cross-platform coverage to eliminate silos within marketing and communication efforts.

Other key features of the release include expanded partnerships with platforms such as Snapchat, TikTok, Bluesky and Threads, as well as enhanced PR and marketing tools for relationship management and targeted engagement.
