Fong Chee Khuen Dismissed As CEO Of HHRG

KUALA LUMPUR, May 8 (Bernama) -- HHRG Bhd has dismissed Fong Chee Khuen from his position as chief executive officer (CEO) with immediate effect, following serious allegations of misconduct and abuse of authority.

The biomass materials manufacturer had earlier issued a show cause letter to Fong on April 7, suspending him for two weeks with immediate effect, pending the outcome of an internal investigation.

The company also issued a letter to Fong on April 18 on the extension of his suspension period until May 4, 2025, pending the outcome of the internal investigation.

The suspension, it said, is a precautionary measure to facilitate an independent and thorough review into allegations of misconduct in breach of the company’s policies and/or the express and/or implied terms and conditions of Fong’s employment.

On March 27 this year, HHRG suspended the managing director, production manager, and finance and human resource manager of its 51 per cent-owned subsidiary, MG Furniture Sdn Bhd, to facilitate internal investigations.
