FBM KLCI Futures Close Lower

KUALA LUMPUR, May 16 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower today, tracking the performance of the underlying cash market.

At the close, May 2025 and December 2025 contracts decreased 7.5 points to 1,567.0 and 1,560.0, respectively, June 2025 fell six points to 1,567.5, and September 2025 declined seven points to 1,551.5.

Turnover reduced to 5,912 lots from 6,850 lots on Thursday, while open interest was lower at 39,634 contracts against 40,949 contracts previously.

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI eased 1.27 points, or 0.08 per cent, to 1,571.75 from Thursday’s close of 1,573.02.
