Arla Foods Ingredients Expands Brenntag Partnership Into Southeast Asia’s Top Markets

KUALA LUMPUR, May 20 (Bernama) -- Arla Foods Ingredients has extended its distribution partnership with the Brenntag Group to include Southeast Asia’s three largest food and nutrition markets.

Under the extended agreement, Brenntag will distribute Arla’s full range of high-quality protein ingredients across key segments such as sports nutrition, health foods, infant nutrition, and functional ingredients for dairy and bakery applications.

Arla Foods Ingredients Head of Asia-Pacific, Alexander Leufgen noted that the region’s growing appetite for whey and dairy ingredients—particularly in active nutrition and functional food—makes this the right time to strengthen their offering.

In a statement, he emphasised that the expanded partnership will allow Arla to deliver more targeted solutions to manufacturers.

Meanwhile, Brenntag Specialties Regional President, Nutrition Asia Pacific, Kenneth Keh welcomed the development, citing the success of the collaboration in China.

Keh expressed confidence that the combined strengths of both companies will meet the growing demand for innovative nutritional solutions in Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam.

This expansion builds on the successful 2023 agreement with Zhongbai Xingye Food Technology (Beijing) Co Ltd, a Brenntag group company, which strengthened Arla’s presence in the Chinese market.

Southeast Asia is increasingly seen as a high-potential growth region due to rising consumer demand for nutritious and protein-rich food and beverage products—demand that is currently underserved.
