Sarawak Cable, Annum Decline In Early Trade On Potential Delisting

KUALA LUMPUR, May 21 (Bernama) -- Share prices of Sarawak Cable Bhd and Annum Bhd fell in the early trading today as both companies are facing delisting from Bursa Malaysia on May 30, 2025.

At 9.55 am, Sarawak Cable slipped 5.0 sen, or 62.50 per cent, to 3.0 sen, with 42.30 million shares traded, while Annum trimmed 4.0 sen, or 80 per cent, to 1.0 sen, with 2.53 million shares changed hands. 

 On Tuesday, Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd announced that Sarawak Cable and Annum were facing delisting from the stock exchange after their respective applications for a further extension of time to submit their regularisation plans were rejected.

In separate filings to Bursa Malaysia, the exchange said trading in both securities will be suspended with effect from May 28, 2025.

The securities of the companies will be delisted on May 30, 2025, unless an appeal against the delisting is submitted to Bursa Securities on or before May 27, 2025.
