Philadelphia Insurance Companies Wins Duck Creek Award For Digital Innovation In P&C Insurance

KUALA LUMPUR, May 23 (Bernama) -- Duck Creek Technologies, the global intelligent solutions provider defining the future of property and casualty (P&C) and general insurance, has honoured Philadelphia Insurance Companies (PHLY) with its 2025 Standard of Excellence Customer Award at Formation ’25, held in Orlando, Florida.

The award recognises PHLY for its outstanding achievement in digital transformation and innovation in insurance operations through its use of Duck Creek’s cloud-native, software as a service (SaaS)-based platform, according to a statement.

Together with Ernst & Young LLP (EY United States), PHLY leveraged several Duck Creek solutions—Policy, Insights, and Producer Portal—to modernise its business operations, particularly in the delivery of its Business Owners Policy (BOP) product, known as PHLYBOP.

Duck Creek Senior Vice President (SVP) of North American Sales, William Magowan praised PHLY for setting a new standard in digital insurance delivery and demonstrating how insurers can meet modern market demands with speed and scale.

Meanwhile, PHLY SVP of Insurance Operations, Brent Skiles emphasised the importance of teamwork and strong technology partnerships in driving their success.

“Together, we have helped PHLY launch a future-ready platform that meets the needs of our broker and agency partners while scaling for tomorrow’s opportunities,” he said.

PHLY's transformation included the automation of policy lifecycle management, improved data access and analytics for decision-making and compliance, a streamlined user experience for agents through the Producer Portal, and rapid rollout of BOP products across multiple states using scalable application programming interfaces (APIs) and pre-configured templates.

These initiatives have significantly boosted PHLY’s operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and agent engagement, while also helping the company gain market share. The foundational release of the revamped BOP product launched in three states in late 2024, with expansion to 20 more states planned throughout 2025.
