VistaJet Sees 17 Pct Rise In 2024 Pet-Friendly Flights

KUALA LUMPUR, June 3 (Bernama) -- VistaJet, the world’s first and only global private aviation company, has reported a 17 per cent increase in flight traffic in 2024, driven by growing demand for pet-friendly summer travel.

The top destinations for VistaJet flights accommodating pets this year include London, New York, and Nice, according to the company in a statement.

Through its dedicated pet travel programme, VistaPet, the company ensures both human and animal passengers enjoy high standards of care and comfort at 45,000 feet. The service includes simplified travel arrangements, customised private dining, in-flight entertainment, and curated, pet-friendly destinations.

“VistaJet understands that pets are an integral part of the family. With a team of over 4,000 aviation professionals, we are committed to making travel dreams come true,” said its Chief Marketing Officer, Matteo Atti.

To assist animals with travel anxiety, VistaJet offers fear-of-flying courses in collaboration with The Dog House at selected locations, helping nervous pets transition into more comfortable fliers.

The company also reports dogs remained the most common animal passengers in both 2023 and 2024. Among the more unusual pets flown were a blue-tongued skink and a Sulcata tortoise, both of which adapted well to the flying experience.

Atti added that in one instance, VistaJet activated heated floors on board to mimic a natural habitat for a Sulcata tortoise travelling with a family, alongside two elderly Great Danes and a cat.

As part of its Private World service, VistaJet collaborates with over 600 partners in 35 categories globally, including luxury accommodations, transport and leisure services, to ensure seamless travel experiences for Members and their pets.

In London, VistaJet’s partner, the Maybourne Hotel Group, offers exceptional pet hospitality at renowned properties such as Claridge’s and The Connaught, featuring plush bedding, gourmet treats, and personalised services. On the French Riviera, The Maybourne Riviera in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin offers experiences such as sunrise yoga, guided food tours and village explorations, all of which are pet-inclusive.

In the Pacific, VistaJet’s collaboration with the Four Seasons Hawaii Collection extends to pet-friendly resorts across Maui, Hualalai, and Lanai. Travellers can enjoy a tranquil retreat surrounded by pristine beaches and lush bamboo forests, with activity packages including rainforest birdwatching tours, lava field hikes, and cultural explorations of towns like Hana.
