Greener Pastures Leads High-profile Event On New Zealand Investor Visa

KUALA LUMPUR, June 12 (Bernama) -- A rising wave of investor interest in New Zealand’s Active Investor Plus (AIP) visa programme was evident at a high-profile seminar in Singapore, hosted by Greener Pastures New Zealand, in collaboration with ANZ Migrate and St. James’ Place.

The exclusive, invite-only event brought together high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and wealth advisors seeking insights into New Zealand’s updated residency-by-investment programme.

In a statement, Greener Pastures New Zealand Managing Director, Dominic Jones said the recent reforms mark a turning point for New Zealand’s investor migration strategy.

He added that the streamlined requirements and sharper focus on active investment are resonating strongly with global investors—particularly across Asia—who are acting quickly to align lifestyle and capital with long-term residency opportunities.

Held in two sessions, the seminar featured detailed briefings on the country’s newly reformed AIP visa, which has drawn increasing attention across Southeast Asia following significant government changes introduced in April 2025.

The updated AIP programme offers two investment pathways for applicants. The Growth Category requires NZ$5 million in direct investments over three years with just 21 days of physical presence in New Zealand. (NZ$1 = RM2.54)

Alternatively, the Balanced Category requires NZ$10 million invested, spread across approved assets over five years, with a 105-day in-country requirement. Notably, the reforms removed English language testing and reduced physical stay thresholds—key changes that have made the AIP visa more competitive globally.

The event also addressed the growing demand for concierge-style relocation services, from education support and real estate to lifestyle integration—an essential offering for families moving to New Zealand under the investor visa.

As interest builds across Asia, Greener Pastures New Zealand will continue to engage directly with investors in key financial hubs, supporting clients through every stage of the application, relocation, and investment process.
