OCBC Malaysia Named Best SME Bank By Alpha Southeast Asia And Finance Asia
KUALA LUMPUR, July 4 (Bernama) -- OCBC Malaysia has been named as the best small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) bank by Alpha Southeast Asia and best commercial bank for SMEs by Finance Asia, the latter for a second consecutive year.
The bank said the accolades recognise its innovative offerings and digital enhancements designed to help SMEs operate run more efficiently.
OCBC Malaysia managing director and head of emerging business Chan Kok Leong said the bank maintains a strong focus on digital innovation and optimal convenience for SME customers.
“These awards also reflect our customers’ confidence in our innovative business banking solutions and commitment to supporting them in their domestic and international endeavours.
“With our customer-centricity approach, we look forward to providing even more cutting-edge solutions to help our SME customers flourish,” he said in a statement today.
Among the key initiatives that contributed to the awards was OCBC’s support of over 100 China-based enterprises operating in Malaysia’s food and beverage sector last year.
Additionally, OCBC said it pioneered a robust digital onboarding process, enabling customers to experience faster turnaround times and operate seamlessly in a digital environment.
With a focus on delivering convenience to SMEs, OCBC said it has implemented a straight-through processing system, resulting in a 90 per cent increase in digital account openings.
