MyFintech Week 2025 To Highlight Regional Collaboration, Innovation In Finance

KUALA LUMPUR, July 14 (Bernama) -- Malaysia’s flagship financial technology (fintech) event MyFintech Week (MyFW) returns for its third edition from Aug 4-7, 2025, as the country assumes the ASEAN chairmanship, underscoring its commitment to regional cooperation in driving digital financial transformation.

Co-organised by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), Securities Commission Malaysia (SC), Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB), Fintech Association of Malaysia (FAOM) and Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), this year’s event will be held under the theme “Ideate, Innovate, Co-create: Shaping the Future of Finance”.

In a statement today, MyFW 2025 said the event would gather policymakers, industry leaders and technology innovators to address transformative trends in the financial landscape, including artificial intelligence, blockchain, Islamic finance and climate financing.

The programme would centre around three key areas: finance for the future, focusing on emerging technologies and digital asset regulation; finance for change, which explores inclusive, Islamic and sustainable finance; and finance for a resilient ecosystem, highlighting cybersecurity, talent development and fraud prevention.

“MyFW 2025 will serve as a platform to align national policies and promote responsible innovation, while strengthening Malaysia’s fintech leadership in the region,” it said.

Among speakers at the event are BNM governor Datuk Seri Abdul Rasheed Ghaffour, SC executive chairman Datuk Mohammad Faiz Azmi, Hong Kong Monetary Authority chief executive Eddie Yue, Monetary Authority of Singapore managing director Chia Der Jiun, and former Greek finance minister Yanis Varoufakis.
