FBM KLCI Futures Closes Higher

KUALA LUMPUR, July 17 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher on Thursday, tracking gains in the underlying cash market.

At the close, the July 2025 contract gained 17.5 points to 1,523.0 and August 2025 rose 15.0 points to 1,519.0, while September 2025 and December 2025 added 16.0 points each to 1,502.0 and 1,503.50, respectively. 

Turnover was higher at 5,692 lots compared to 5,471 on Wednesday, while open interest increased to 39,838 contracts from 39,298 previously.

At 5 pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) gained 9.44 points or 0.63 per cent to 1,520.94 from Wednesday’s close of 1,511.50.
