MPOB To Host Open Day In Conjunction With 25th Anniversary

KUALA LUMPUR, July 29 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) will organise an open day in conjunction with its 25th anniversary celebration on Aug 2, 2025 at MPOB headquarters in Bangi, Selangor.

It said in a statement today that the event will be held simultaneously in seven locations, including MPOB research stations in Kluang, Keratong, Bagan Datuk, Hulu Paka, Lahad Datu, Sessang and the MPOB Sabah regional office in Kota Kinabalu.

“MPOB open day is themed ‘Oil Palm for All’, reflecting an inclusive and sustainable oil palm ecosystem that contributes to the country’s economic growth.

“This theme also emphasises that the oil palm industry is relevant to all levels of society, regardless of age, background or social status, demonstrating that all Malaysians can enjoy its benefits,” it said.

It added that the MPOB open day aims to raise public awareness of the latest advancements in the oil palm industry, including achievements in research, innovation, services and MPOB’s success throughout its 25 years of establishment.

It said the open day targets participation from all segments of society with a wide range of engaging activities, including MPOB innovation exhibitions, health checks, sports, games and lucky draws.
