Lazada Seller Summit 2025 Helps Shape Future Of eCommerce

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 4 (Bernama) -- The Lazada Seller Summit 2025 showcased diverse technological innovations and seller empowerment approaches to help shape a more inclusive and sustainable eCommerce future in Malaysia.

Organised by Lazada Malaysia, the event brought together over 1,000 sellers nationwide, exposing them to insights on AI-based solutions, branding strategies, and content-driven social commerce approaches.

Now in its second year, the summit also introduced new AI-powered seller tools designed to help sellers manage daily operations, run campaigns and achieve their first sales faster.

Deputy Minister of Communications Teo Nie Ching, in her speech at the recently held summit, said the initiative is in line with the aspirations of the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP) to drive digital economic development.

“We hope Lazada will continue to encourage more sellers, especially those in rural and remote areas, to start their businesses online and take advantage of these digital tools,” she said.

Meanwhile, Lazada Malaysia chief executive officer Kaya Qin said the event reflected the company’s continued investment in building a smarter and more comprehensive eCommerce ecosystem.

“At Lazada, we are committed to creating a smarter and more inclusive eCommerce ecosystem where every seller, regardless of size or background, has access to the tools, insights, and opportunities they need to grow,” he said in a statement today.

The one-day event also celebrated sellers’ excellence through several award categories, including the Best Local Brand of the Year, which was won by GAIAS Bedding & Bath and Siti Khadijah Apparel Sdn Bhd.

In addition, an interactive forum featuring Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) was also held to share strategies for creating high-impact content campaigns and cultivating meaningful customer engagement.

Lazada also reaffirmed its commitment to accelerating local digital economic growth through strategic support such as subsidies, advanced data analytics and enhanced order fulfilment solutions.
