Cloudera Powers Bank Negara Indonesia’s Enterprise-wide AI Expansion With Secure, Scalable Platform

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 7 (Bernama) -- Cloudera, a data and artificial intelligence (AI) platform company, announced it has strengthened its partnership with Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) to scale AI innovation across the enterprise.

By leveraging Cloudera’s open, hybrid data platform, BNI is streamlining its AI supply chain, bringing together data ingestion, governance, analytics, and machine learning into a single cohesive environment.

“By adopting Cloudera’s AI Inference and unified data platform, BNI is leading the way in securely operationalising generative AI at scale.

“This collaboration underscores our commitment to empowering Indonesia’s financial institutions with trusted, scalable, and regulatory-ready AI infrastructure,” said Cloudera Senior Vice President for Asia Pacific and Japan, Remus Lim in a statement.

Meanwhile, BNI Chief Information Officer, Toto Prasetio said the company is proud to be among the first financial institutions adopting Cloudera’s AI Inference service, and the technology gives them the infrastructure to scale its generative AI ambitions securely and efficiently.

“It is a major step forward in our goal to deliver smarter, faster, and more responsible digital banking services to Indonesians,” he added.

Built on NVIDIA NIM microservices, Cloudera AI Inferencing enables secure, reliable deployment of open-source large language models on NVIDIA accelerated computing, empowering BNI to scale generative AI securely while maintaining full control over sensitive data.

Cloudera was chosen by BNI for its strong alignment with Indonesia’s regulatory requirements and its ability to support enterprise-scale AI, in addition to the company’s unified data platform offering robust governance, end-to-end security, and hybrid deployment flexibility.

As BNI continues modernising its data architecture, Cloudera and its AI ecosystem enable the bank to lead securely and responsibly in Indonesia’s digital finance landscape.
