FBM KLCI Futures End Lower In Tandem With Cash Market
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 26 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower today, tracking the performance of the underlying cash market.
At the close, the spot-month August 2025 contract fell 34.5 points to 1,574.5, September 2025 shaved 33.5 points to 1,553.0, December 2025 slid 32 points to 1,555.0, and March 2026 slumped 33 points to 1,538.0.
Turnover surged to 49,511 lots from 30,966 lots on Monday, while open interest increased to 95,740 contracts from 70,159 contracts previously.
At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI receded 20.86 points, or 1.30 per cent, to settle at 1,581.59, from Monday’s close of 1,602.45.
