CIFTIS 2025: Bank Of China To Unveil "Mifang Card" For Tourists, AI Finance Tool

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 3 (Bernama) -- At the upcoming China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), scheduled for Sept 10 to 14 at Shougang Park, Bank of China will debut its "Mifang Card", a financial product designed to ease transactions for foreign tourists in China.

Developed in collaboration with China Unicom and Beijing Municipal Administration & Communication Card, the card addresses common travel challenges such as currency exchange and payment acceptance, aiming to deliver a more convenient and efficient financial experience for international visitors.

According to CIFTIS in a statement, Bank of China will also spotlight its latest artificial intelligence (AI)-powered financial tools designed to enhance digital banking.

This includes intelligent customer support, risk management systems, and predictive financial analytics driven by machine learning—reflecting a broader shift toward smarter, more responsive banking services.

CIFTIS, themed "Embrace Intelligent Technologies, Empower Trade in Services", is one of the world’s largest platforms for services trade. This year’s edition features confirmed participation from 51 countries and 24 international organisations, with Australia serving as guest country of honour, sending its largest-ever delegation.

The event will host over 500 Fortune Global 500 companies and industry-leading enterprises, with nearly 2,000 companies set to participate in offline exhibitions. More than 100 enterprises are expected to launch over 190 new products and innovations, spanning AI, healthcare, smart logistics, and the integrated development of tourism, culture, sports, and wellness.

Beyond exhibitions, CIFTIS 2025 will include a global services trade summit, over 170 forums and business talks, and more than 40 supporting events, reinforcing China’s ambition to lead in the digital transformation of the global service economy.
