AmanahRaya Trustees And CoKeeps Partner To Advance Digital Asset Infrastructure

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 4 (Bernama) -- AmanahRaya Trustees Bhd (ART), a wholly owned subsidiary of Amanah Raya Bhd, has signed a memorandum of understanding with CoKeeps Sdn Bhd to explore the establishment of Digital Asset Custodian (DAC) services.

The companies said in a joint statement that the initiative marks a significant step toward advancing digital transformation, boosting investor confidence, and strengthening Malaysia’s financial ecosystem.

The statement highlighted that by leveraging ART’s longstanding expertise in fiduciary and trusteeship services, and CoKeeps’ role as Malaysia’s first Securities Commission (SC)-registered digital asset custodian, the partnership will act as a testbed for tokenisation.

The collaboration aims to strengthen ART’s ability to serve a wide range of client segments by integrating certified digital asset infrastructure to support corporate clients and private mandates, as well as individual clients and estate planning, and tokenisation initiatives.

ART chief executive officer (CEO) Zainudin Suhaimi said digital assets are reshaping the future of wealth and that the role of a trustee must evolve to meet this shift, with the partnership with CoKeeps reflecting a strategic response to that evolution.

“By bridging traditional fiduciary roles with cutting-edge infrastructure, AmanahRaya Trustees is ensuring it remains a trusted partner in a rapidly transforming financial environment,” he said.

Echoing Zainudin, CoKeeps CEO Suhanna Hussein noted that the collaboration represents a crucial step in creating a secure and reliable ecosystem that not only complies with regulatory requirements but also adapts to evolving market expectations.

“This initiative is fully aligned with the government’s agenda to accelerate Malaysia’s digital economy and foster financial innovation.

“The partnership between ART and CoKeeps will ensure that the custodial framework is built on strong governance, compliance, and risk management -- laying the groundwork for tokenisation readiness and long-term value creation,” she added.
