Pansar Bags RM216.99 Mln Design, Build Highway Contract In Sarawak

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 10 (Bernama) -- Pansar Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary Perbena Emas Sdn Bhd has received a letter of acceptance from the Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR) Sarawak to design and build a proposed Serian-Gedong-Samarahan dual carriageway highway worth RM216.99 million.

In a Bursa Malaysia filing today, Pansar said the 36-month contract is scheduled to commence in September 2025 and is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of the group during the contract period.

“The project involves the design and construction of the upgrading of about 4 kilometres of the existing JKR R3 road from Jalan Lubok Teranggas to Kampung Gedong. Currently a two-lane single carriageway, it will be upgraded into a JKR R5 four-lane dual carriageway.

“The work scope also includes the construction of a new connecting road to Package 1 comprising Simpang Rayang/Munggu Kopi/Tanah Puteh/Sebemban to Gedong District, Section 1B,” it said.

Pansar said the work also includes the provision of an autonomous rail transit reserve within the median, bridge works, bicycle tracks, utility corridors, a new roundabout, and the installation of road lighting, traffic lights, road furniture, signage, and drainage systems.
