Ecoworld's Net Profit Rises To RM101.17 Mln In 3Q

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 18 (Bernama) -- Eco World Development Group Bhd (EcoWorld) posted a higher net profit of RM101.17 million for the third quarter ended July 31, 2025 (3Q FY2025) compared to RM80.44 million for the same quarter a year ago.

Revenue climbed to RM761.93 million from RM526.22 million previously, mainly due to the full consolidation of Paragon Pinnacle Sdn Bhd’s financial results in the current quarter, the property development group said in a Bursa Malaysia filing today.

For the cumulative nine months of FY2025, the group's net profit rose to RM311.35 million from RM220.12 million a year earlier while revenue jumped to RM2.18 billion from RM1.62 billion previously.

EcoWorld president and chief executive officer Datuk Chang Khim Wah said in a statement that the group has exceeded its FY2025 sales target of RM3.5 billion, and that it has achieved RM3.84 billion in 10 months of FY2025.

"Our projects in Iskandar Malaysia remain the largest contributors to the group’s year-to-date (YTD) sales with RM1.99 billion, followed by the Klang Valley at RM1.47 billion and Penang at RM378 million," he said.

Chang noted that the residential segment continues to anchor the group’s performance, contributing RM2.08 billion up to Aug 31, 2025.

Landed housing sales under its Eco Townships exceeded the group’s full year FY2024 sales with RM1.39 billion recorded in 10 months, he added.

Chang highlighted that EcoWorld’s strong sales performance has sustained the group's future revenue position at a high level of RM5.14 billion as at August 31, 2025.

He noted that its net gearing ratio as at July 31, 2025 is 0.53 times, supported by high cash balances, including deposits and short-term funds of RM1.70 billion.

"The group’s healthy financial position enables us to continue to reward shareholders with a 3rd interim dividend of two sen per share for 3Q FY2025, bringing total YTD dividends declared to five sen per share.

"Our strategic plans to grow our recurring income base are also progressing well," he said.
