CBHB Subsidiary Secures RM31.4 Mln Contract For Johor Data Centre Works

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 22 (Bernama) -- CBH Engineering Holding Bhd’s (CBHB) wholly-owned subsidiary, CBH Engineering Sdn Bhd, has secured a RM31.4 million contract to carry out mechanical and electrical works for a 132 kilovolt (kV) “consumer landing station” (CLS) at a proposed data centre in Johor.

The mechanical and electrical engineering service provider said it accepted a letter of award today, dated Aug 25, 2025, from a main contractor identified only as Company A, whose name was withheld under a non-disclosure agreement.

“The scope of works to be carried out by CBH Engineering under the contract is to supply, install, test and commission mechanical and electrical works to a 132 kV CLS for a proposed data centre located in Johor,” it said in a stock exchange filing.

The contract period will commence from Sept 7, 2025, until the estimated “date of readiness for energisation” on March 10, 2026.

The company said the contract is expected to contribute positively to its earnings, earnings per share and net assets throughout the duration of the project.

It also said that there are no interests, direct or indirect, from directors, major shareholders or persons connected with them in relation to the contract. “The board is of the opinion that the acceptance of the contract is within the ordinary course of business of the company and is in the best interest of the company,” it added.
