Bodor Laser Wins Red Dot “Best Of The Best” Award For Design Excellence
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 30 (Bernama) -- Bodor Laser, a global leader in laser cutting and welding solutions, has received top recognition at the Red Dot Award: Design Concept 2025 ceremony in Singapore, with three flagship products honoured for exceptional design innovation and industrial excellence.
The company’s next-generation handheld laser welder, sheet laser cutting machine and tube laser cutting machine were among the award recipients, with the handheld laser welder earning the prestigious “Best of the Best” accolade—the competition’s highest honour.
Founded in 1955, the Red Dot Award is one of the world’s most respected design recognitions, alongside Germany’s iF Design Award and the United States (US)’ IDEA Award. The “Best of the Best” title, awarded to less than one per cent of submissions, recognises products that redefine standards in innovation, functionality and aesthetics.
Bodor in a statement said its design philosophy combines technology and aesthetics through user-centric engineering. Each product incorporates ergonomic structures, intuitive interfaces and modular construction, reflecting the company’s vision of transforming industrial tools into works of design excellence.
Its handheld laser welder, which stood out among thousands of entries, was praised for uniting functionality with elegance—a reflection of Bodor’s design principle of turning complexity into clarity and engineering into art.
Behind these design milestones is Bodor’s robust manufacturing ecosystem. The company’s Global Headquarters in Jinan spans 200,000 square metres, equipped with intelligent production lines and digitalised systems that produce more than 20,000 units annually.
Bodor is also expanding its presence in southern China with a new headquarters in Shenzhen, dedicated to high-end research and development (R&D) and manufacturing. The facility is expected to add more than 5,000 units yearly, strengthening its supply chain and service networks across South China and Southeast Asia.
With this latest recognition, Bodor became the first laser equipment manufacturer in the world to win the Red Dot “Best of the Best” distinction. The company has to date received five Red Dot Awards, four iF Design Awards and several other international design honours, including MUSE, Good Design (US) and French Design Awards.
Looking ahead, Bodor remains committed to advancing intelligent manufacturing through the integration of design and technology, underscoring its vision of “technology as the foundation, design as the wings, and users at the heart”.
