KINABATANGAN, Nov 1 (Bernama) -- Felcra Bhd chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub has announced the company’s second interim distributable profit for 2025 amounting to RM207 million.
He said the profit distribution would be carried out in stages starting today, benefiting 76,694 participants nationwide and involving 775 profitable projects.
Ahmad Jazlan said the overall performance of Felcra Bhd’s consolidation and rehabilitation projects up to August 2025 recorded total profits of RM297 million - an increase of nearly RM78 million compared to the same period last year.
“I hope this distribution will not only serve as a financial boost but also as a motivation for all participants to continue improving their respective projects. Let this profit be used as capital to enhance productivity, adopt new technologies, and strengthen competitiveness so that Felcra continues to be a pillar of rural economic development,” he added.
He made the remarks at the declaration ceremony for the interim profit distribution 2/2025 for Felcra Bhd participants’ projects held at Dataran Kinabatangan today.
Also present were Deputy Minister of Women, Family and Community Development Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad and Kinabatangan member of parliament Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin.
Ahmad Jazlan said Felcra Berhad continues to play a vital role in empowering rural communities, including in Sabah, through various development projects under the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW).
“In Sabah, Felcra has managed 15,704 hectares of agricultural land involving 2,252 participants since 1995,” he noted, adding that KKDW has allocated RM75.63 million this year for various development projects in Kinabatangan.
This includes RM33.26 million for 10 rural road projects, RM1.62 million for rural bridge projects, RM11.49 million for five rural water supply projects, and RM13.25 million for community welfare projects such as the construction and repair of houses under the Hardcore Poor Housing Programme (PPRT).
Under Rolling Plan 1 of the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP) next year, the government has also approved an additional allocation of RM27.9 million for rural development through Felcra.
