BNM Offers Limited-edition Coins To Commemorate ASEAN-Malaysia Chairmanship 2025, DOSM’s 75th Anniversary
KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 7 (Bernama) -- Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) has announced the issuance of two limited-edition commemorative coins to mark the ASEAN-Malaysia Chairmanship 2025 (ASEAN25) and 75th anniversary of the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM75).
It said in a statement today that the ASEAN25 series comprises single-coloured sterling silver coin proof, while the DOSM75 series comprises single sterling silver, both series comes with 92.5 per cent purity and weighing 31 grammes.
The ASEAN25 and the DOSM75 sterling silver series have a face value of RM10 and will be sold at RM363 per piece. The mintage quantity is 1,000 pieces.
Besides, the ASEAN25 series is also offered in two-coin Nordic gold brilliant uncirculated (BU) set while the DOSM75 series comes in single Nordic gold BU set, both made of copper and several other metals, weighing 8.5 grammes each and carrying a face value of RM1 per coin.
For the Nordic gold brilliant set, the ASEAN25 series is sold as a set of two coins to accentuate the novelty of its design, priced at RM24.20 per set and the mintage quantity is 5,000 sets, while the DOSM75 series will be sold at RM16.50 per piece with mintage quantity of 5,000 pieces.
Set of two for both series containing one single-coloured sterling silver proof coin and one Nordic gold proof coin. The mintage quantity is 1,000 sets and priced at RM396 per set.
According to BNM, these commemorative coins are sold individually. To provide a fair opportunity for members of the public, a purchase limit is applied for each design. Each person may purchase one set of two, one sterling silver coin (proof) and up to five Nordic gold (BU) coins.
“Members of the public are advised to place their orders through BNM’s online system and not with or through any other party or unauthorised ordering facility.
“Members of the public can place their orders at duit.bnm.gov.my from 12.00 pm, Nov 7, 2025 to 8.59 am, Nov 17, 2025,” it said.
