Eco Business Park 7 To Boost Negeri Sembilan's Industrial Growth

NILAI, Nov 11 (Bernama) -- The Eco Business Park 7 (EBP 7) project, which has a gross development value (GDV) of RM3 billion, is set to become a new catalyst for the state’s economic and industrial growth under the Malaysia Vision Valley 2.0 (MVV 2.0) masterplan.

EBP 7 is developed through a public-private partnership between Eco World Development Group Bhd (EcoWorld), SD Guthrie via its wholly-owned subsidiary, SD Guthrie Land Ventures Sdn Bhd (SDGLV), and Negeri Sembilan Corporation (NS Corp), the state agency responsible for coordinating and driving the MWV 2.0 masterplan.

EcoWorld president and chief executive officer Datuk Chang Kim Wah said the 483-hectare project in Bukit Pelandok, Port Dickson is a key component of Parcel C under MVV 2.0, aimed at strengthening Negeri Sembilan as a leading industrial and investment hub in Malaysia’s southern corridor.

“EBP 7 is conceived as an integrated industrial development, complemented by commercial hubs that create a self-sustaining business environment that will offer a mix of medium-sized prime industrial lots and ready-built factories, alongside retail and service facilities designed to support the needs of businesses, entrepreneurs and workers.

“Strategically located near the proposed Nilai-Labu-Enstek Expressway, the park offers convenient access to Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Port Klang and the North-South Expressway, ensuring efficient connectivity to major logistic routes across the country,” he said.

He said this in his speech during the launch of the EBP 7 Sales Gallery, officiated by Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun here today.

Also present was SD Guthrie Group managing director Datuk Mohamad Helmy Othman Basha.

Catering to high-growth sectors such as aerospace, electrical and electronics, logistics, e-commerce, halal, biotechnology, and advanced manufacturing, Chang said EBP 7 is expected to attract strong domestic and foreign investment, while supporting MVV 2.0’s goal of sustainable, high-value industrialisation.

The first phase of the project introduces a wide range of industrial offerings, from cluster factories and semi-detached factories to industrial land parcels designed to meet the diverse needs of growing businesses.

Meanwhile, Mohamad Helmy said EBP 7 represents an important milestone in Guthrie's growth within the industrial parks segment, and it marks the coming together of vision, strategy and execution.

“While Guthrie works to unlock the value of our landbank, we are delighted to be a part of Negeri Sembilan's vision and the national development agenda.

“Looking ahead, EBP 7 will serve as a catalyst for new investment and technological advancement, fostering collaboration among industries, investors and local communities,” he said.

He added that the project underscores the collective commitment of EcoWorld, SD Guthrie and NS Corp to position Negeri Sembilan as a destination of choice for high-value manufacturing and next-generation industries.

Aminuddin said the development of EBP 7 is expected to serve as a turning point towards a high-tech and competitive economy in the future.

He said the collaboration between the three parties was an excellent example of a public-private partnership in creating a modern industrial park centred on sustainability, innovation, and community well-being.

“This strategic collaboration is also seen as a catalyst for greater achievements in the future, creating opportunities for Negeri Sembilan to continue advancing as one of the key drivers of national growth.

“On behalf of the state government, I reaffirm our strong commitment to ensuring that the investment and development processes proceed smoothly. If this momentum continues, Negeri Sembilan will see a transformation driven by high-value investments, quality job creation, and a prosperous community,” he said.
