NuEnergy Secures Two Large-scale Solar Plant Contracts In Sabah Totalling RM56.3 Mln

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 20 (Bernama) -- NuEnergy Holdings Bhd (NHB) has secured two large-scale solar photovoltaic plant (LSSPV) contracts in Sabah, worth RM56.3 million.

In a Bursa Malaysia filing today, NHB said it received a letter of award from Muhibbah Solar Sdn Bhd for the engineering, construction, and commissioning of a 15 megawatt alternating current (MWac) large-scale solar photovoltaic plant (LSSPV) in Beaufort, Sabah, worth RM16.89 million.

The company said it also received a second letter of award for RM39.41 million from Muhibbah Solar for the sale and purchase of solar materials for the project.

NHB said the contract is expected to strengthen its presence and accelerate market penetration in East Malaysia.

“The contract is expected to contribute positively to NHB’s revenue and profitability, while showcasing the company’s technical capability and capacity to deliver large-scale projects in East Malaysia.

“It also reinforces NHB’s reputation and competitiveness within the regional market, further positioning NHB for continued growth and future opportunities across East Malaysia,” it said.

The project is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2026 and is expected to contribute positively to earnings and net assets per share for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2026.
