FAMA Agromarketing Masterclass 2025 With TikTok Shop Records RM12 Mln In Sales

KUALA LUMPUR,  Nov 23 (Bernama) -- The Agromarketing Masterclass TikTok Shop Edition (AMTTSE) 2025 organised by the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA) and and TikTok Shop recorded sales of RM12 million.

FAMA director-general Abdul Rashid Bahri said the five-month programme that began in July was joined by 182 entrepreneurs from 91 companies and recorded a 94 per cent increase compared to RM6.2 million in 2024.

“A total of 15 fresh and frozen category companies recorded sales of RM47,000 (USD 10,600), while eight Persons with Disabilities companies recorded sales of RM286,000 with over 1.3 million live views in total.

“There are some companies that tripled their sales when they got involved in live streaming with the help of TikTok Shop. So on behalf of FAMA, this is a very big boost that has been achieved,” he said at the Grand Final AMTTSE 2025 award ceremony here today.

He added that the programme’s success proved the abilities of Malaysian agro-entrepreneurs to compete in the global digital economy, in line with the National Agrofood Policy 2.0 and the 13th Malaysia Plan to develop high-impact digital entrepreneurs.

The ten best FAMA entrepreneurs will join the Global Learning Visit in Shanghai, China this December to learn live commerce technology, content creation trends and international digital innovation models.

TikTok Shop strategic relations director Nur Azre Abdul Aziz said that they launched the single-day delivery system to open up more opportunities for agro-entrepreneurs to conduct business on the platform.

“Currently, we are in the pilot phase where orders can be received the same afternoon and we have it for the Klang Valley with a radius of 30 kilometres and in the future we will launch it in many more states in the peninsula,” she said.

At the award ceremony, former engineer and disabled entrepreneur, Amir Mohsin Mohd Bahrudin , under the ‘Dapur Pak Amir’ brand, won 3 main awards - Best Overall Entrepreneur, Best Disabled Entrepreneur and Best Food Category (Intermediate) Entrepreneur.

“I had an accident in 2018 and after waking up from a six-month coma, I started thinking about how to survive and moved to Puncak Alam to start my nasi lemak business.

“I didn’t expect it to change my life, and then I started an online sambal business on TikTok Shop,”  he said, adding that he was able to generate a five-figure monthly income.

Dapur Pak Amir products include sambal nasi lemak, sambal tempoyak, sambal bilis petai and sambal talang masin produced in his own factory in Pasir Tumboh, Kelantan.

Meanwhile Hasdey Puncak Enterprise marketing manager, Siti Aisyah Sulaiman said the AMTTSE programme helped her to understand the digital business and help her family’s vegetarian fucuk business.

“We showed how we produced a piece of fucuk on live streaming, which takes about 15 to 20 minutes. The process begins from boiling the soy bean water till it dries. Previously if anyone was afraid to eat it, we would show everyone the production process from A to Z,” she said.

Siti Aisyah explained that her sales rose from RM700 a month in May to RM45,000 in August and the excellent development made her company one of the 10 chosen to join the Global Learning Visit in Shanghai, China.

Meanwhile, the Inspirational Entrepreneur Award was won by Jasmani Abdul Hamid of Anis Café Enterprise that developed 83‘ready to eat’ food products under the brand Jasmani that generated almost 80 per cent of sales via TikTok Shop.
