Mavenir Unveils Leadership, Refreshed AI-Native Network Strategy

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 9 (Bernama) -- Mavenir has announced a strengthened senior leadership team and a new operating structure as the company accelerates its shift toward telco-first, cloud-native, artificial intelligence (AI)-by-design networks following its recent recapitalisation.

In a statement, the company said its refreshed product strategy focuses on mobile core, AI-enabled automation, and cloud-native platforms, forming the backbone of its transition from AI-integrated to fully AI-native network architectures.

“As our customers embrace AI-native networks, we are evolving our operating model to respond with greater speed and clarity. With a strong team and sharper strategic focus, we are well-positioned to deliver innovation and exceptional value for our customers,” said its President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Pardeep Kohli.

To streamline execution, Mavenir will consolidate operations into two business segments—packet core, messaging and security; and voice and radio access technologies—supported by platform, cloud and business solution teams.

As part of the overhaul, the company appointed several executives to key positions. Uli Dopfer becomes Executive Vice President (EVP) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), while Dejan Leskaroski assumes the role of EVP and Chief Revenue Officer.

Michael Cooper has been named EVP and General Manager (GM) for packet core, security and messaging; Santhosh Kumar will lead platform and cloud engineering; and Sachin Karkala will oversee IMS and RAN. Sandeep Singh becomes Senior Vice President and GM for business solutions and retains oversight of digital enablement.

Mavenir said the appointments will sharpen customer focus, strengthen accountability and accelerate its AI-native roadmap. Existing leaders, including CEO Kohli, will remain in their roles to provide continuity.

The company also announced leadership transitions at the end of January 2026, with outgoing executives, including EVP and CFO Terry Hungle, and EVP and Head of Sales and Marketing Bahram Jalalizadeh. Hungle will continue as Special Advisor to the Board, while Jalalizadeh will support customer programmes as a consultant.
