Penguin Solutions’ Latest DDR5 SODIMM Delivers Rugged, Wide-Temp Performance

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 10 (Bernama) -- Penguin Solutions Inc has expanded its DDR5 memory portfolio with the launch of its SMART 64-gigabyte (GB) DDR5-6400 ECC CSODIMM module, engineered for high-performance computing across industrial, edge, telecom and networking systems.

The new module supports both commercial-temperature (C-temp) and industrial-temperature (I-temp) options, offering reliable operation in harsh environments while delivering higher density and faster bandwidth with error correction capability (ECC) in a compact CSODIMM form factor.

Its director of Integrated Memory DRAM product marketing, Arthur Sainio said the addition strengthens SMART’s position in ruggedised, high-performance memory solutions.

“Industrial and networking customers now have access to both high-capacity and wide-temperature support in a very compact DDR5 SODIMM design,” he said in a statement.

The CSODIMM integrates a clock driver (CKD) to regenerate and amplify clock signals, preserving signal integrity, synchronicity timing and reducing errors at high speeds.

With the 64GB capacity point, SMART’s DDR5 SODIMM lineup now spans 16GB to 64GB, enabling system designers to choose the optimal memory density and performance profile for their application needs.

Sampling for the 64GB DDR5-6400 ECC CSODIMM is now available.
