Genting Bhd To Be Included In Three FTSE4good Indices, Effective Dec 22

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 11 (Bernama) -- Genting Bhd will be included for the first time in three of the FTSE4Good indices, which are the FTSE4Good Bursa Malaysia Index, FTSE4Good ASEAN 5 Index, and FTSE4Good Emerging Index, with the inclusion taking effect on Dec 22, 2025.

It said the inclusion follows the FTSE4Good Index Series December 2025 semi-annual review and Bursa Malaysia’s official announcement today.

"Upon inclusion, Genting will be one of the 36 Malaysian constituents on the FTSE4Good ASEAN 5 Index and the FTSE4Good Emerging Index, enhancing its visibility to global and regional environmental, social, and governance (ESG)-focused investors.

"Selected based on FTSE Russell’s rigorous ESG criteria, the inclusion is a recognition of Genting’s strong and proactive approach to sustainability, risk management, and ESG integration across its operations," the group said in a statement.

Genting chief executive officer and president Datuk Seri Tan Kong Han said being included in these leading ESG indices demonstrates our strong governance and responsible business practices, which are increasingly important to investors worldwide. "We remain committed to sustainable growth that delivers long-term value for our shareholders," he added.
