Nominations Open For Rebranded Global Water Awards 2026

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 12 (Bernama) -- Global Water Intelligence (GWI) has opened nominations for the 2026 Global Water Awards following a major rebrand, with submissions accepted until Feb 27 next year.

In a statement, GWI said the revamped initiative introduces a new artificial intelligence-focused category and expands its shortlist, offering more opportunities for organisations to showcase their achievements to an international network of water professionals.

The Global Water Awards honour excellence across 15 categories covering water, wastewater, technology and desalination, and are widely regarded as the industry’s most prestigious global accolades.

Many shortlisted organisations have subsequently secured some of the sector’s largest commercial deals. Past winners include leading water management companies, investors, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firms, utilities, industrial water users and nonprofit providers.

Nominations are open to all, with the shortlist promoted to GWI’s audience of more than 40,000 readers. Winners will be announced at the Global Water Awards ceremony during the Global Water Summit in Madrid.

Submissions must be made via the secure portal on the Global Water Awards website.

GWI is a market intelligence and events company focused on the international water sector. With over 25 years of experience, it provides trusted insights that help organisations make strategic decisions, covering municipal and industrial vertical, technologies, finance, and economics.
