KLCI Futures Open Firmer

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 19 (Bernama) -- FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts opened firmer on Friday, tracking gains in the underlying cash market.

At 9.16 am, the December 2025 contract gained 8.5 points to 1,655.0, while the January and June 2026 contracts rose eight points to 1,658.50 and 1,644.0, respectively. March 2026 added six points to 1,641.0.

Turnover stood at 1,868 lots, with open interest at 39,190 contracts.

The benchmark FBM KLCI increased 4.88 points to 1,651.78 after 35 minutes of trading, compared with Thursday’s close of 1,646.90.
