Coastal Among Top Gainers After Clinching RM4.64 Bln Mexico Gas Project

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 22 (Bernama) -- Coastal Contracts Bhd emerged among the top gainers at midmorning today after securing a RM4.64 billion gas processing contract in Mexico through a consortium led by its Mexican joint venture company, Coastoil Dynamic SA de CV.

At 11.25, the company’s shares rose 19 sen to RM1.41, with 835,300 shares traded.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, Coastal said the other consortium members are Sistemas Integrales de Compresión SA de CV (SIC) and Nuvoil SA de CV.

It said the consortium entered into a contract with Mexico’s state-owned petroleum company Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) on Dec 19, 2025 (Mexico time).

The contract further strengthens CD’s position in the Ixachi Field, one of Mexico’s major onshore gas fields, and supports the group’s ongoing overseas operations, it added.
