KLCI Futures Close Higher, Tracking Cash Market Gains

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 22 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher today, tracking gains in the underlying cash market.

At the close, the December 2025 contract gained 11 points to 1,679.5, January 2026 increased 10.5 points to 1,682.50, March 2026 added 11.5 points to  1,667.0, June 2026 rose 6.5 points to 1,669.0.

Turnover increased to 14.280 lots from 8,711 on last week, while open interest rose to 51,755 contracts from 46,114 previously.

At 5 pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI rose 5.39 points, or 0.32 per cent, to 1,671.29 from Friday’s close of 1,665.90, marking its intraday high.
