KLCI Futures Close Mostly Higher

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 26 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended mostly higher on Friday despite the softer underlying cash market.

At the close, the December 2025 contract rose 2.5 points to 1,676.0, while the January 2026 and March 2026 contracts gained 1.0 point each to 1,680.0 and 1,664.5, respectively.

However, the June 2026 contract decreased 3.0 points to 1,664.0.

Turnover fell to 23,709 lots from 39,353 on Wednesday, while open interest narrowed to 63,355 contracts from 76,499 previously.

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI fell 1.21 points, or 0.07 per cent, to 1,677.10 from Wednesday’s close of 1,678.31.

The market was closed yesterday in observance of Christmas Day.
