KLCI Futures End Mostly Lower

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 31 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed mostly lower on Wednesday, tracking the underlying cash market.

At the close, the December 2025 contract fell 4.5 points to 1,674.5, while January 2026 and March 2026 were down 0.5 of a point to 1,682.5.5 and 1,668.0, respectively.

Meanwhile, the June 2026 contract was 1.5 points higher at 1,670.0.

Turnover declined to 8.442 lots from 23,676 on Tuesday, while open interest dwindled to 42,817 contracts versus 59,528 contracts yesterday.

At 5 pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) fell 4.42 points to 1,680.11 from Tuesday’s close of 1,684.53.

Bursa Malaysia Bhd and its subsidiaries will be closed tomorrow, Jan 1, 2026, for the New Year’s Day holiday.
