KLCI Futures Open Lower In Early Trade

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 7 (Bernama) --  The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts were lower in early trade today tracking the lower underlying cash market.

At 9.37 am, spot months January 2026 and June 2026 fell 1.0 points each to 1,673.0 and 1,663.0, respectively.  February 2026 and March 2026 both eased 0.5 of-a-point to 1,676.5 and 1,658.5, respectively.

Turnover stood at 1,533 lots, with open interest at 35,469 contracts.

The benchmark FBM KLCI trimmed 4.96 points to 1,667.39 after 37 minutes of trading, compared with Tuesday’s close of 1,672.35.
