FBM KLCI Futures Open Lower In Early Trade

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 8 (Bernama) --  The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts were lower in early trade today tracking the lower underlying cash market.

At 9.45 am, spot months January 2026 and June 2026 fell 10 points each to 1,668.00 and 1,657.50,  February 2026 shed 8.5 points to 1,673.50 and March 2026 eased 8.0 points to 1,655.50.

Turnover stood at 1,396 lots with open interest at 35,360 contracts.

The benchmark FBM KLCI trimmed 7.98 points to 1,668.85 after 45 minutes of trading, compared with Wednesday’s close of 1,676.83.
