Nippon Kinzoku Deploys "Eco-Product" Lineup Using Composite Metal Forming Technology

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 13 (Bernama) -- Nippon Kinzoku Co Ltd has commenced the full-scale deployment of its "Eco-Product" lineup, featuring products manufactured with its proprietary "Composite Metal Forming Technology".

The technology enables processing close to the final product shape, helping customers shorten production processes, improve material yield, and reduce environmental impact across the supply chain, supporting the company’s goal of a carbon-neutral society.

The company in a statement said it has been developing and refining this technology by integrating diverse metal processing techniques to address rising industry demands for cost reduction and environmental sustainability.

Key features include achieving complex cross-sectional shapes while significantly reducing material loss. By leveraging its "Fine Profile" base and combining roll forming and pressing, the technology minimises customer machining, enhances material yield, and lowers waste.

The technology also streamlines production by handling downstream processes previously managed by customers. This reduces energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions associated with transportation, storage, and multi-stage manufacturing.

In addition, the continuous formation of coil-shaped materials enables the production of long materials with minimal shape variation and stable quality. Highly efficient drilling processes further ensure consistent output and reduce defective products.

Nippon Kinzoku said products using this technology optimise material usage, reduce energy consumption, and minimise waste volume.
