KLCI Futures End Higher

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 13 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher, in tandem with a firmer underlying cash market.

At the close, January 2026 added 3.5 points to 1,705.0, February 2026 rose 5.0 points to 1,709.5, while March 2026 and June 2026 increased 4.5 points each to 1,691.0 and 1,692.0, respectively.

Turnover fell to 6,885 lots from 8,238 lots on Monday, while open interest rose to 41,659 contracts from 41,460 previously.

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI gained 12.76 points, or 0.75 per cent, to 1,708.20 from Monday’s close of 1,695.44. The index surpassed its previous peak of 1,707.73 recorded on Feb 28, 2019.
