KiddeFenwal Launches NATURA Micro, Enhancing Compact Fire Protection Solutions

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 16 (Bernama) -- KiddeFenwal, a global leader in fire suppression and safety controls, has expanded its inert gas fire protection line with the launch of NATURA Micro, offered through its Kidde Fire Systems brand.

The compact system provides rapid, zero-residue, eco-friendly, and low-maintenance protection for high-value, small-sized assets, including server racks, power distribution units, and high-voltage cabinets.

Its Chief Executive Officer, Rekha Agrawal said the company is proud to introduce solutions that enhance fire protection while adding value for its growing customer base.

KiddeFenwal in a statement said it unveiled NATURA Micro at Intersec, a global security, safety, and fire protection trade event in Dubai recently.

The company also introduced enhancements to its NATURA “total flood” inert gas system, including an acoustic nozzle optimised for environments that contain assets sensitive to sound and vibrations and a refill programme that cuts order fulfilment lead times to re-arm discharged systems down to a day.

The NATURA system detects incipient-stage fires and suppresses them through rapid inert gas deployment, lowering oxygen levels to halt combustion. Its zero-residue operation mitigates asset damage and downtime while remaining environmentally responsible with an ozone depletion potential (ODP) and global warming potential (GWP) of zero.

In addition, NATURA Micro provides similar benefits at an object-specific level, delivering flexible, targeted protection for enclosed, small-sized assets.

The launch comes amid rising fire risks associated with high-density data centres and increased adoption of lithium-ion batteries, highlighted by a 2025 South Korean data centre incident that caused widespread service disruption and data loss.

KiddeFenwal’s NATURA system is recognised and approved by Underwriters Laboratories (UL), Underwriters Laboratories of Canada (ULC), FM Global, Construction Product Regulation (CPR), and the Loss Benefit Prevention Certification Board (LPCB).
