Perak Transit Appoints Ismail Jamal As General Manager

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 21 (Bernama) -- Perak Transit Bhd has appointed Ismail Jamal as general manager effective today.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, the company said Ismail, 46, holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) from Universiti Teknologi MARA and is a Certified Internal Auditor for Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2008).

The filing said Ismail has more than 20 years of experience in corporate and commercial roles across sectors, including transportation, oil and gas, automotive, fuel retail, medical equipment and public administration.

“He has also served in strategic roles within the Perak state government, including as head of the Strategic Communication Unit and as the State Executive Council’s senior special duties officer,” the company said. 

Perak Transit said before this, Ismail also held senior positions in both private and public sectors, including as Petronas area manager for commercial business (downstream), where he managed dealer networks and negotiated commercial contracts across the northern region.
