KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 10 (Bernama) — Honda Malaysia has reinforced its position in 2026 with the rollout of six models, underpinned by a 60,000-unit sales target amid shifting consumer preferences and evolving market demand.

Honda Malaysia managing director and chief executive officer Narushi Yazaki said the company is committed to its “fun to drive” spirit as it prioritises driving performance, supported by advanced technologies and product offerings.

“In line with this commitment, the company is set to further excite the market by expanding its e:HEV  lineup, enabling more Malaysians to experience the balanced, exhilarating performance of its advanced hybrid technology.

“As a pioneer in the field since 2004, this approach is a testament to Honda Malaysia’s relentless pursuit of hybrid technology that is efficient, reliable, and performance-driven, reinforcing its reputation as a globally trusted leader in electrified mobility,” he said at Honda’s media gathering 2026 here today.

He said Honda Malaysia continuously studies and anticipates demand shift patterns to stay aligned with market realities, supported by the expansive and active customer base built over the years.

“With its customer-centric focus, the company will streamline its model offerings that allow customers to easily and effectively find a Honda that fits their lifestyle and preferences,” he said.

In a statement, Honda Malaysia said it is strengthening its dealership operations and placing greater focus on enhancing sales and after-sales services to deliver a seamless ownership experience while reinforcing its leadership across every customer touchpoint.

Looking ahead, the company is confident of achieving its 2026 goals, driven by its 2025 performance with over 72,301 units sold amid a dynamic market shaped by growing demand for EVs and advanced technologies.

“Honda Malaysia continued to lead the non-national passenger vehicle segment for an unrivalled 12 consecutive years, further solidifying its 25-year presence in the country,” it added.
