Mavenir, Red Hat Partner On-Premise AI For Telecom Networks

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 23 (Bernama) -- Mavenir, the software company building artificial intelligence (AI)-by-design mobile networks, has partnered with Red Hat to deliver Conversational AI and Agentic AI service assurance solutions using Red Hat AI.

These carrier-grade generative AI (gen AI) offerings are powered by Red Hat OpenShift AI running on-premise, empowering telecommunications service providers with a highly scalable, security-focused, resilient and cost-optimised foundation for network operations.

The collaboration aims to transform the telecommunications industry by providing AI solutions that leverage service providers’ existing platform investments while enhancing security, resiliency, and low-latency performance—critical for real-time network operations.

According to a statement, Mavenir’s AI offerings are purpose-built for telecom, providing a more secure and cost-effective alternative to hosted as-a-service AI solutions.

With Conversational AI, operators can move beyond simple connectivity, enabling AI agents to act on the content and intent of communications. Agentic service assurance extends this capability by creating workflows and driving decisions across multiple network domains and data sources, detecting and correcting issues before they impact customers.

As part of deployment readiness, Mavenir and Red Hat collaborated with the Dell Technologies Open Telecom Ecosystem Lab (OTEL), which hosts AI infrastructure based on the Dell PowerEdge R760xa—engineered for AI, machine learning, and deep learning workloads. Dell’s OTEL experts worked with both engineering teams to fine-tune the large language model and maximise resource efficiency.

By deploying these solutions on-premise with Red Hat OpenShift AI, service providers can optimise Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) efficiency, maintain full control of security and governance, and more easily manage the complex AI lifecycle.
