Mavenir Powers TextNow With Cloud-Native BSS And Core Integration

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 25 (Bernama) -- Mavenir, the disruptive cloud-native telco technology provider, has integrated its cloud-native mobile BSS and Core platform into TextNow’s mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) infrastructure to accelerate service innovation and support millions of users.

The integration is designed to help TextNow onboard new customers faster, launch differentiated service tiers, and expand its ad-supported free wireless model, delivering capabilities such as sponsorship partner management, roaming relationships, and independent SIM profile provisioning for its over eight million active users.

Mavenir Senior Vice President (SVP) and General Manager of Business Solutions, Sandeep Singh said the adoption highlights how its cloud-native platform enables MVNOs to scale efficiently, innovate service offerings, and differentiate from competitors.

Meanwhile, TextNow SVP of Partnerships & Innovation, Tristan Huntington said the company has spent 17 years proving that wireless service can be free, supported by advertising, and still deliver a great experience on a nationwide 5G network.

“Partnering with Mavenir allows us to remain at the forefront of innovation, giving us more control over the customer experience and a faster path to launching new features,” he added.

Mavenir’s flexible cloud-native modular platform can support every MVNO model and their go-to-market strategy, whether launching a sub-brand, adding mobility to an existing portfolio, or scaling a challenger brand.

The platform supports both thin MVNOs—entering the market with world-class BSS for personalisation and revenue optimisation—and thick MVNOs, providing full network-level control for features like QoS segmentation, Standalone 5G monetisation, and Internet of Things (IoT) traffic management.

In conjunction with Mobile World Congress 2026, Mavenir will host an MVNO panel titled “Built for More, Bound by Less: The Rise of a New Breed of MNO Embracing AI, Cloud & 5G”, highlighting how MVNOs can leverage cloud-native platforms, artificial intelligence (AI)-driven insights, and flexible monetisation strategies to differentiate on customer experience rather than price.
