Muhibbah Secures RM120 Mln Contract For Penang LRT Project

KUALA LUMPUR, April 14 (Bernama) -- Muhibbah Engineering (M) Bhd has secured a contract worth RM120 million from Gamuda Industrial Building System Sdn Bhd (GIBS) for works related to the Penang Light Rail Transit (LRT) Mutiara Line project.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said the contract involves the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of noise barriers and enclosures for Package CMC1, Sub-Package CNB1 of the project.

It noted that the contract is scheduled to commence in April 2026 and is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2030.

The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of Muhibbah during the contract period for the current and following financial years,” it added.
