Gold Futures End Flat Despite Positive Momentum In COMEX Market

KUALA LUMPUR, April 16 (Bernama) -- Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended flat today, despite the positive momentum seen in the United States COMEX gold market.

At the close, the spot-month April 2026 contract was unchanged at US$4,868.00 per troy ounce and the May 2026 contract stood at US$4,887.00 per troy ounce.

The June, July and August 2026 contracts all settled flat at US$4,905.50 per troy ounce.

Trading volume was nil compared with 23 lots on Wednesday, while open interest fell to 66 contracts from 89 contracts previously.

Physical gold was fixed at US$4,823.25 per troy ounce at the London Bullion Market Association afternoon fix on April 15, 2026.
